reason being .. I have a Cable DVR with a 'circular list' ... when sorting thru the recordings.. its very confusing never reaching an 'end point' especially when looking for the last one that recorded

Thats pretty much my reason for having it the way it currently is. I find circular lists confusing.

what if it hesitated after reaching the bottom. For example a constant scroll would stop at the bottom then you'd have to press the button again to go to the top.

another way to do it is that, when scrolling down, the last highlighted box is obviously at the bottom of the screen and the list is being scrolled one line at a time. When it reaches the end of the list and flips back to the start the whole page is refreshed so the highlighted item is now at the top of the screen and there's a second or so while the cursor scans back down through the page to notice that you're back at the begining. (and vice versa for scrolling up)

Scrolling through several pages to get to Ugly Betty reminds me that this not being able to scroll backwards in the libraries is my biggest annoyance with GBPVR.
