What is the best (most efficient) way to determine the CPU and memory loads on plugins? I have a slow HTPC system (PIII 700) and I am in the process of slimming things down in XP. My next task will be to tackle GB-PVR plugins.
My current idea is to use process explorer and load one plugin at a time (at least the ones I will use) and see what the change is. This won't be entirely accurate as the system won't be under load. Perhaps I'd have to use the feature of the plugin while I'm watching the resource monitor?
I've heard MyVideos is resource intensive. Any others?
Also, I've noticed some of the tweaks to get the media MVP and server working better (less stuttering) such as disabling the clock and the "now playing" banner. Anyone know if this will affect GB-PVR on the sever / front end side?
EDIT: I assume some skins are more resource intensive than others? Or Since they are all based on the same XML framework (sort of) they basically perform the same?
