Hi Folks:

Picked up a NTSC/ATSC HDTV hybrid tv card. Verified as working in the software that came with her (TotalMedia3). Her chipset is Auvitek AU8501 and I am going up the wall trying to get this card to work in gbpvr. I've tried playing with the .ini files (Graphedit) etc. and I'm going to have an ale or 6 to calm down on this one:mad: . Strangely enough, BeyondTV can find it. Just can't play it. Think I just bought a nice coaster or can this puppy work?

Cheers.

The digital side of this hybrid device will most likely work with the addition of a bda.ini section. Run the filtercheck utility, then zip and attach the resulting filtercheck.log and I'll let you know what that section should have http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

The analog side of this device probably lacks the required hardware mpeg2 encoder, so unlikely to work with GB-PVR.

Try adding the following to bda.ini

[Auvitek ATSC]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=Auvitek BDA Digital Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=Auvitek BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
