There doesn't seem to be a wiki page, all requests since 1/06 on the board seem to go unanswered by the author...is this a supported plugin or not?

I get a crash anytime I try to remove a webcam (The London webcam and the Douglas Seaport web cams haven't changed since January...gee guess they're not actual cams aft6er all Wink ) but from the post history I get the impression that asking for support is going to be an exercise in futility....too bad 'cause I love this plugin. I run it with streaming music in the background when I have people over and they go nuts; "COOL! How do you do that with your TV?!?"

Any thoughts? Anyone? (Bueller? Bueller??) Big Grin

Maybe it's time to move this into the unsupported category or do a update/new plugin.

Admittedly it doesn't look like there has been any action on the plugin since softly's 0.8.1 version where it was updated to work with .net v2, so "unsupported" could well be the correct category.

As far as removing the two cameras, have you tried manually deleting the corresponding lines from the webcams.xml file in the plugins folder? I don't think their absence could cause a crash.

cheers,

I wish; if you edit the XML manually the plugin errors out. Through the config I can ADD cams but not remove them it seems. Thanks for trying to help though.

There never was a wiki page for this plugin.

Weird - I assumed the plugin gets the cam list only from the xml file, so it shouldn't know if lines had been removed. Could you post the xml file and state which cams you wanted removed and I'll see if it does the same on my setup.

I'm not sure, but I think Iread somewhere that you need to use notepad to edit the xml files. Anything else causes it to bug out.

I may be wrong though...

I'm pretty sure that was what I used, but I solved the problem with a work around. (I'll have to check into that though - thanks!) I *can* edit any entry so I just replaced the static Douglas Sea Port and London webcams with others.

I just wish I could figure out how to map the right and left arrow keys to do Next and Previous...
