Hi all,

I'm new here so all help appreciated!

Using a HVR-1300 - and the application works great, many thanks.

Just wondered how I can record things and have them in a usable format; for example I recorded ER tonight:

"ER_20070111_21002200.dvr-ms"

These .dvr-ms files - I can't see how I can burn these to DVD?

If I set in GB-PVR config Auto-Convert DVR-MS recordings to: Mpeg-2; then the recordings are still .dvr-ms.

The 'transcode' button seems unresponsive too.

please help! Smile

To record to a .mpg file with a digital card you need to have an MPEG2 multiplexer installed. The most commonly used ones are the Cyberlink or ATI mux.

The auto-convert from .DVR-MS to .MPG also requires this same filter.

Thanks from the reply Sub;

Can you tell me where I can get either / or of the Cyberlink or ATI mux?

Under my options I get:

if I choose cyberlink - i still get my recordings in that .dvr-ms format?

Thanks again! Smile

This is because you dont have it installed. If you run the MuxChecker utility it'll tell you what you've got installed - I suspect you dont have any muxes installed.

Use the forum search.

You're right, i don't.

I'll go searching for the cyberlink mux then. . Smile

Using ATI Mux works fine, is there any reason to use the cyberlink one over this?
