My system is equipped with three tuners (one 150MCE and one 500MCE) and padding defaults to -1 and +7 minutes. All works like a charm and I am able to record multiple channels at the same time.

But, since I've upgraded to 99.05 I notice this strange problem.
Subsequent shows on the same channel are not recorded using 2 tuners, yet are recorded with the same tuners (and thus not using the padding in between).

However, I expected (and thought it worked that way in an old release) that because of the padding, multiple tuners would be used recording the adjacent shows.

Any thoughts?

I think you need to set the option <PreferAlternatingCaptureSources>
to true in web.config in order for it to work that way.

<PreferAlternatingCaptureSources>false</PreferAlternatingCaptureSources>
and
<TryToHonourPaddingIfPossible>true</TryToHonourPaddingIfPossible>

can't find sub's posting (damn, search is failing & thus 28k postings of him don't make it any easier Big Grin)
as far as i get it this will try the following: it won't automaticaly change the capture source with each recording, but will try to add the paddings to each recording, i.e. if you have 2 recordings back to back on same channel & there is a free capture source it will switch to this to add the padding to the 2 recordings.

And with PreferAltern... it would always switch, even though it's not necessary with regard to padding?
