Hi everyone! Smile

I've a new PC with an Asus P7131 tuner card running on XP Home, but I'm completely lost!

I don't care for the Cyberlink software that came with it and would like to give GB-PVR a try.

I've installed the software, but the configuration is waaay beyond me. I've updated a couple of .ini files and my card is now recognized, but that's as far as I can go. I'm unsure of what the EPG source and the recording source should be set to. What is an XMLTV file?

Any help out there?

Thanks a lot!

Johnny,

Where are you located?
The EPG is setup is based on you location.

There is some good configuration info contained in the GBPVR wiki:
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Config/Config

If you post you location I am sure someone familiar with that region will assist you in your setup.

Thanks for the link, Kevin, that was great help! Smile We're making progress.

Okay, I've got the EPG set up, but I'm not able to watch live TV. When I click the "Live TV" button, I get nothing more than a black screen. I've gone through the GB-PVR wiki, but can't find the answer.

BTW, I'm from Canada, eh? Big Grin

Thanks for any help you may provide.

Regards,

Johnny

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I am from Canada as well and have very limited computer skills, but I can learn. Stick with it and you will have an awesome program.
