This is the scenario: I have recorded a show as a one-time recording. Now I realize that this show runs with a new episode once in a while, not often enough to be on my EPG yet. But still would like to be able to season record shows with that name, perhaps from the recordings menu?

I have the same problem. This is my first day with my PVR 350, but almost 50% of the reason I bought the card was for the ability to do a "record season" but on *any* channel.

I'm sure there is good reasoning why that feature is not there, and I suspect it has to do with the listings but thats just my guess.

To the poster above, I believe you can do what you are talking about, as long as its on the same channel just use the record season option. Dunno if thats exactly what you needed.

PS. I'm looking to set this up to record my digital cable channels , from my digital TV terminal (Shaw Cable, Vancouver, Canada) I understand that this may be possible if I set my terminal to be an external source, and run a cord BACk to the card for input, and then set up a second listings selection, and then get the IR or terminal controller ... does anyone have some good info on how exacltly this works? Im in the computer business, but new to this stuff. And my local computer stores have a no return and NO EXCHANGE (sigh) policy on this stuff. even though they cant explain how to use it. The problem is that since the show has already been, it's not in my EPG... so I can't use season record... hmm... wait... just thought of something... does the EPG still contain shows that were on... say yesterday... or a week ago? Have to check this when I get home. If so, does it ever get flushed, or is it growing forever? =)
