how's text different in gbpvr vs beyondtv (btv4 looks nicer)?

Anyone know the difference in how gbpvr displays texts (i.e. menus, epg, etc) compared to how btv4 displays text? I notice that text on btv4 is much more smooth, particularly w/ resize, compared to gbpvr. Additionally, the interface looks nicer too. That said, I stopped using btv4 cuz it kept crashing, took forever to load, and hogged resources like crazy.

BeyondTV uses a drop shadow on all text displayed. It's something I've asked for in the Wishlist section as makes text easier to see on varying backgrounds and is just visually more appealing as you have noticed. Hopefully it will get implemented soon.

There's a crappy way of accomplishing it now, but a dedicated "textwithshadow" font type would be much better.
