Two/Three part recordings following restart?

Hi Sub, Quick question for you:

I know that when the recording service is restarted, or the comp rebooted during a recording, that a '(2)' is appended to the mpeg thats produced after. An extremely useful feature!

Ive seen mention before that GBPVR has some logic that means when that show is selected from 'recordings' it plays part 1, then part 2 and so on to give the complete file, is this true?

If thats the case its not working here!! :confused:

No, thats not true.

In the old days restarting the recording service would mean that the original part would be overwritten. Due to a few requests for it, I changed it to not overwrite the original file. Instead it now creates a new file and updates the recording to point to the most recent part.

Yes, I do intend to do this, but its been sitting pretty low on my priority list for over a year. My general thoughts are that people should just avoid rebooting or restarting their recording service during recordings. I dont consider it to be a big problem because I dont remember the last time I've ever had to do this on our 'production' GB-PVR system (if ever).
