I have a Twinhan ATSC card, and I followed the instructions in the Wiki to configure the program. When I go to update the EPG, it appears to be successful and all of the channels are marked "enabled". I OK out of everything and try to open up GB-PVR. If I go to live-tv, it says that I need to open up the config and update the EPG. When I go back to my capture source settings for my card, all of the channels are still in the list, but none of them are selected (and I can double click them to select them, but if I hit OK and then re-open the config window, they are all gone again).

Does anyone have any idea of what I could be doing wrong? I've spent the last hour or so trying to figure out how to get things to work.

I think you have to click the "map digital channels" button so you can tell gbpvr what frequency / program ID belongs to which channel in your list.

Ok, when I try that, it says that there's no demultiplexer installed. I've installed codec packs that claim to have them, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I've got XP SP2 with DX9.0c, if that makes any difference. I found a hotfix that fixes "multiplexer" errors, but it says I've already got it installed.

Any ideas?

In the config app there is a choice of multiplexer I think

There is a built in mux in SP2 - choose the DVR-MS mux I think.
Someone else may have to confirm this.

Thanks

Some twinhan software has been known to de-register this normally present Microsoft component. Try running:

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mpg2splt.ax

Hmm, weird...

I installed a new codec pack, and it asked to uninstall a previous codec pack. It said that there was a bad reference for the microsoft multiplexer, and so I removed it. The new codec pack didn't seem to help any so I uninstalled it as well, and now gb-pvr seems to be working.

Thanks for the help, though.
