ExpressVU Missing Channels

I just noticed when I went to schedule a recording for an NBC channel that GB is still not finding all of ExpressVU's channels (I'm using the Hauppauge Nova-S).

When I export the database from MediaPortal (which was converted from MyTheatre), for example, I get this channel that doesn't show up in GB:

20,"5666","8","12326000","20000","0","0","1","287","1","NBC-W","NBC-W","1","1","5667","5666","0","5667","0","0","0","1","0","11250","256","0","32"

Is there anything I can do to get these missing channels?

If you can make available a 50MB or so full transport stream recording for that transponder, I'm happy to take a look at why the scan is not finding it.

It depends what capture card you're using. If you're using a Twinhan card, like many other ExpressVU users, then there is a TS capture tool on the Twinhan downloads page.

I'm using a Hauppauge NOVA-S Plus.

I dont think Hauppauge supply a tool for capturing these, but you could try the dvbstreamexplorer app. I know some others have used that to capture full transport streams.

Ok I downloaded the program, chose BDA, and now it's asking me for information I don't know, for example, under ITuningSpace/ILocator... well everything there I don't know:

Frequency
Symbol Rate
Inner FEC
Inner FEC Rate
Outer FEC
Outer FEC Rate
Modulation

Any help would be appreciated.

Some of that info is shown when GB-PVR is scanning each transponder. You'll typically see something like T:11462,H,3476,56, which is

freq=11462
polarisation=H
symbol rate=3476
FEC=5/6

I finally figured out what was going on. I was chosing Nimiq1 from the satellite menu, when I could have chosen Galaxy 11 & Nimiq 1,3 to get a proper scan of the transponders.

Of course, I discovered this only after I had redone the 2691.ini file, which is the list of transponders for Nimiq 1 according to lyngsat. I could post the updated .ini file for anyone interested. It got me all the channels!
