Hi
I've got a dual tunner Nova T 500 card but can't seem to set two shows at the same time. In the TV guide I've selected the first program and set it to record but when I try and set the second, at exactly the same time but on a diff channel, I get the "Recording Conflict, this requires canceling another show..." error.

I've set up both tuners a Capture sources, both cards have been Mapped to the channels. I'm not clear how the twin tuners thing works (it's not clear in the wiki). Do I have to select the second programme to the second tuner manually or should it do it for me. If it should auto switch the second schedule to the second tuner any ideas why I'm getting this supposed conflict?

the tuners should appear as :-

Nova-DT #1, device 1
Nova-DT #2, device 1

set them both with identical EPG source so that they have the same channel list.

It'll do it automatically for you, but make sure you've got it set up the way gEd says above.

Wow, it turns out that the first tuner hadn't picked up BBC Three in it's scan/channel map but the second tuner had. At least that's the only diff I could find. I've just re-scanned the 1st tuner and enabled BBC Three and no more conflict so thanks gEb. Out of interest why do the capture sources have to be identical?

They dont have to be identical, but they do have to have the same channel available (with exact name match) on both if you want GB-PVR to use the channel from either.

I suspect you scanned the channels on the first device < 7pm - before BBC 3 came on air.

Not sure that I understand Q2. They are both device 1 as they are both referring to the same physical nova-t 500 device. If you had a second nova-t 500, then you would create both of the new capture sources as device 2.

glad you got it sorted.
