I do know that prior to coming to GBPVR that I was looking for a live tv streaming alternative. Orb sucks, I can't stand that program... So I got VLC working. Although I had a huge green bar at the bottom and no sound, the video streamed nicely. Wasn't choppy at all.

Try these stream settings.....lower audio bitrate......use scale insteaad of fixed and use the H264 encoder instead of the default.

What is your up speed on your home connection?

It turns out that the problem was I had MY RECORDINGS set to a harddrive connected via USB. I didn't even realize that. So I set the MY RECORDINGS directory to my main harddrive and changed the port back to 443, just to see what happens. So my EWA port and my VLC stream port are both 443... and it streamed nicely. Worked perfectly.

Then, when I tried to press the end stream button, I got a message saying "404 File not found" or something like that. The file appear to be the player.

So I used Logmein (remote access, uses a different port) and ended the stream via GBPVR.

Now, nothing is streaming and we are back to square one. So I try now to stream a different channel, and it doesn't work at all now.

This is the last time I will mention this:
DO NOT TRY TO RUN TWO THINGS ON THE SAME PORT......THIS WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS.

When you logged onto your gbpvr PC did you bring up the services listing and end the VLC service that was running?

No, I went into GBPVR and ended it that way.

I thought that because I was switching the Recordings back to my main drive that the port thing would be fixed.

The port issue is a phyisical reality regardless of what application you are using.

I have the Web Admin set to 443 and I have the EWA config set to 7648. Streaming Live TV or recordings do not work so I now have tried to just PLAY PROGRAM of videos I have saved or recording a show and then going into MY RECORDINGS and just PLAY PROGRAM.

It starts up (unlike streaming), plays for 2-3 seconds, then the video just pauses but the timer keeps going. If I move the slider forward in time it'll play for another 2-3 seconds and then stop.

Since we tested this outside of the office and it worked I have to believe that your office has network issues that are preventing streaming from working.
