Weird playback on MVP

This what use for the PVR-150s with GBPVR 99.12 and prior don't have any timeline issues with 3 PVR-150s!
Note: max 3 with PVR-150, tested. Did test with 4 had problems with sounds not being recorded on the 4th Card when used 4 different PCI slots.

I'm sorry. I don't think I've been clear. The issue does not exist on GBPVR on the PC itself. It exists only on the MVP.

Yeah, the timestamp issue would be my first guess.

Because different methods are used to report the duration on the MVP vs the PC. On the MVP it takes the last presentation timestamp and subtracts the first presentation timestamp. Even if the duration is reported correctly on the PC with one of the broken timestamp files though, there are still different playback problems you get it.

Doesn't the answer that sub provided a few posts up address this? I have seen files in the past report 0:01 on the MVP, a different time in WMP, and a different time again in VLC... all do to with the structure/ interpretation of the file. It might be worth uninstalling the PVR-150 drivers (the full monty - delete the directory, all regkeys, etc.) and then trying reinstalling as per the wiki. Just a thought.

It's certainly worth running one file through 'retime' or whatever it's called, to redo the timestamp and eliminate or otherwise the pvr150 problem.

Martin, I think that is a little rude considering the dialogue around this issue. In Sub's response he states the timesheet issue would be his first guess. I tried that and it did not resolve the issue. I simply thought there would be a resolution to the problem but if there isn't one then that is an answer.

I went so far as to completely uninstall GBPVR and all the MVP software, delete all left over files, run HWClear, and then install everything back on. The issue persists.

I assume I'll have to settle for the MVP's default front-end since it works perfectly but I've never liked it since it doesn't give the option to delete files. GB-PVR's MVP front-end does give me that ability but it is more important to me to be able to skip past commercials than it is to delete files.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude, just save you and some others time, there's been too much wasted time reinstalling lately. Sub's answer was (and usually is) the best one and 100% appropriate and I'm not sure why this isn't being accepted and followed up on. That being said, I wasn't saying that you should ignore the subsequent help, because you can avoid this in the future with the correct drivers and recording in mpeg2 format, and I don't think there is a lot of reason to leave GBPVR now that you know what the problem was.

I was only pointing to sub's response in case it was missed. The rest of my post was describing what I had done in the past, specifically running HWClear. I wasn't advocating reinstalling GBPVR, restoring windows, formatting drives or any of that nonsense...

Yeah. If it's a result of the timestamp issue then this would fix the file and it would look fine...

just to reiterate. The timestamp issue is a bug while recording files with a PVR150. One symptom is playing back the file on an MVP and having time line problems, even with great playback on computer (though I have mostly seen problems on both)
