HIya

Dare i ask another question for fear of more embaressment ? lol

Anyway *sigh* uummm attached (hopefully) is a screenshot of an error i get when trying to run the gbpvr config, this only happened after enabling hte ePSXe emulater in the gamezone settings. If i remove the dll file for gamezone it runs as normal. I guess i need to delete a reference to ePSXe in a file somewhere that tells gbpvr its enabled.

I think i will use PC games to run the PSX emulater and run the PSX games that way.

any ideas?

Thanx
Peter

EDIT - PS after i click ok, the config loads but hte plugin section is empty Smile

You have hit the issue/limitations that are described around post 31 of this thread. There are a number of posts about the issue and some explaination of why it occurs. My last post on the subject indicates I would like to do something to make it simpler but I am a bit stuck at which way I should go, I therefore opened it up to the community to come forward with ideas - so far nobody has responded.

Ok so thats the history I recommend you read the earlier posts and if after reading you have a suggestion Please, Please post it so I can get a different view than just my own!

Also now GameZone has its own sub-forum it may be best to start a new thread if you come back with a suggestion or an additional fix, it will make it easier in the long run rather than 50 posts in the same thread.

Thanks

@ThunderStorm.

I have just removed my ePSXe program (complete directory), the ePSXe entries from config.xml, and the ePSXe entry from Paths directory and cannot start the config applet now.

I would be grateful if you could write a step by step guide of what you have done so I understand where all the issues are. I am seeing an issue after what I have done but its not the same one you are seeing.

Its my Granddaughters birthday today so I will not get much chance to look into the issue untill much later today. I really want to nail the issue so any info you can provide is gratefully recieved.

cheers

Hiya
Happy birthday to your granddaughter Smile

I didn't really anything unusual i dont think.

I installed the emulater through the config,
Set the options.
Clicked ok, but didnt click enable yet, as i had no games to test (they were at the kids nana's house)

Inserted a cd to test and ran the ePSXe direct from the folder,
selected run from CD and all was working.

so back into the config (config still good at this point)
set enabled on ePSXe tab, clicked ok
Ran GBPVR to test,
went into EPSXe under Gamezone, tried to run from cd in the options there,
GBPVR threw an error about "Object not linked"
Back into config and got the error up there ^ in the screenshot.

after reading the posts on a similer (SP) problem i come up with a dirty fix that works for ME.

I made a bat file that calls regedit /s to delete the expsxe reg entries, then it opens config, i can make changes to games zone config, when i close the config, the bat file calls regedit /s to replace the reg entries from a reg file i have previously exported from the registry.

To run the games-
I installed daemon tools and daemon script, made a daemon script for each game that sets the image on a virtual cd drive, then it loads epsxe and i can (using a keyboard) use the run from cd option.

Each daemon script i have linked in "PC games" and used the script file as the executable file, but still need to click "run from cd" i havent found a command for that yet.

I can't get it back to teh state where epsxe is enabled in the config, if i enable it, set options, and click ok, it errors, i am also using plugins for epsxe that did not come with epsxe, i am using the winnt/2K cd plugin (standard) gpuPeteOpenGL.dll for graphics, nice too by the way, spuEternal.dll for the sound, another nice one.

Thanx
Peter

Hi Peter,

Can you pm me your phone number I will give you a ring and we can perhaps sort this out quicker. I will then see if It is an issue with game zone or not.

Alternatively get it to the point where you have GameZone enabled and try running a CDROM from within GBPVR and once it throws the error shutdown GBPVR and mail me the gbpvr.exe.log file I can then see what commands are being used to launch the CDROM. I am simply getting lost trying to understand the issue in email - Sorry.

EDIT - I think I have found the issue when you launch a game it adds it to the favourites database the field does not like (rightly so) using the CDROM as a path. I will look at changing it so that CD rom based games are not added to the favs section that hopefully will solve your issue.

Regards

Paul
