Console Instead of Main Menu

Instead of a main menu, it would be a neat option to get more of a "console" look, showing a variety of information (perhaps even configurable). For instance, you could have a gbpvr logo, a scrollable menu on the left, a small sampling of recently recorded programs, the amount of free disk space, the current time and date, the next program scheduled to be recorded, next conflict, and maybe even some options for integrating information from plugins into the console. This could let you accomplish some more common functions directly from the main menu.
