Thanks, if you do have a chance could you telnet to you mvpmc login as root and issue the following command

dd if=/dev/mtd2 skip=512 count=1 bs=16

I would like to know what you see, I'm hoping there is a ÿ character somewhere after the WMVP That would allow a solution the problem.

Actually it looks like you might have entered a WEP key since this first message. If what you posted is close, you might want to change yours!

no wep key, i never used wep and still do not.
