How do I turn off Timeshift Mode?

I have a system selector that goes to my composite input. The two main systems I'd be worried about at all is my Xbox 360 and my Wii.

My retailer said that a capture card might be worth looking into. Could I in fact use a capture card to play my games? Would it be worth looking into a tuner or capture card that supports component?

To be honest, I dont think the retailer knew what he was talking about. Given those devices, I wouldnt bother trying to go down this path. You wont be able to use the high def video coming out of the 360, or the 480p that can come out of the Wii. Also as you've found out, the slight delay caused by capture devices is enough to make the experience suck.

There isnt really any capture devices with component input (high def or standard def).

Personally I'd find a way other than connecting through the PC. Sorry.

How many times have I answered this for you already in this thread?...you'll probably need an old bt8x8 card if you want no delay. It wont work with GB-PVR or MCE or anything like that, but it'll give you zero delay with the compatible software. These devices have no encoder, and dont add any significant delay to the signal.

Sorry, I'm just trying to make sure that those cards will support composite. I've been to a lot of places and only recieved answers to only half of my question. I'm just trying to be sure of things before I go shelling out more money.

I think you are not going to be happy with the xbox360 into the composite input of a capture card.
I would suggest getting the vga adapter cable and a KVM switch.
I think the WII will need a third party adapter to get to VGA. I don't know if that exists yet but it should.

Ok, I'll go ahead and fully explain the extent of my situation.

I've got a bunch of video game systems (NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, Dreamcast, Wii, Xbox 360) plus a VCR. The NES, SNES, and Genesis all have RF inputs. The N64, Dreamcast, Wii, Xbox 360, and VCR all currently go into a system selector which results in one composite output. Thats why I really wanted a TV Tuner to work for this, since it solves all three of my problems (RF Input, Composite input, and TV).

I'm pretty skilled with computers, but I've never really payed any attention to TV Tuners or Capture cards, so I'm really bad in this area. Thats why I bought my PVR-500 and expected it to just work.

I'm going to do a little bit more research for a TV Tuner that supports Component, Composite, and Cable input that wont create a delay, but I doubt that will be useful.

I'm mainly going to start considering ways to fit two component inputs, one composite input, and a cable input into my free VGA port on my monitor. If anyone has a better idea, I'd like to hear it.

I'm not exactly sure how the KVM switch would work, but I'll look into it.

I think that I've finally found the right solution for this. If I get a KVM switch, one composite-to-VGA converter, and two component-to-VGA converters, then I should be in buisiness. The only problem is, I'm not too sure where I can find good component-to-VGA or composite-to-VGA converters. I've checked eBay, but that stuff looks a little sketchy (though I'm alright with buying something from eBay if I know it will work).

Can anyone point me in the right direction for my converters?
