I still haven't resolved this problem. After sleep mode, The folders for shows have been created, but the folders are empty. The shows are listed in "What's New", but the ending time is listed as one minute less than the beginning time.

If I try to watch live TV after sleep mode, GBPVR leaves the main GBPVR screen for about a second, and then returns to the main screen. I've tried to use Windows Media Center, and the same thing happens in it, so it isn't a GBPVR problem.

The TV card, an HVR1800, still shows up in Device Manager. And this is a new card from Hauppauge, so it isn't a bad card. I tried moving the card to a new slot - still doesn't work.

Finally, I've tried using Vista, with the same results.

I'm stumped... Log files attached...

Got exactly the same issue with a new hauppauge card , but different setup - TD500 and I'm using windows XP SP3 with the latest GBPVR . I'm using 3.11.27187.0 of the TD-500 driver from the 1.2c disk

Lots of talk on the hauppauge forum about this , but I don't see any Eureka posts yet .

If you find a solution, please let me know. Running without S3 standby working in a non-starter for me

have you tried the old remove then redetect method? usually a good fix, if clumsy...
using something like devcon to remove hardware when coming back from suspend, and quickly re-installing it usually re-initializes them..

may also wanna check the latency setting in bios..may be messin with your pcie slots..
[if there is one] 64 is a safe value...32 can be flaky..

and try MCE Standby Tool...it has some fixes for windows that are almost necessary for proper suspend operation..[on some systems]

what chip is on that thing? still conexant?

Vitesse Pilot, my solution, after two weeks of everything you could possibly try, is to try a different model card.

PBS, software that would delete the card, and reinstall it would work. I've tried that manually, and it worked. Like you said - clumsy, but it would work. I've tried every BIOS setting imaginable. I don't recall any related to latency on the PCIe slots.

The chip is indeed Conexant.

I did this last night - put in my old Twinhan Mini-Ter and everything works fine ( so well, in fact , I wished I'd just brought another one) , so I know it is a problem with this Hauppauge card and/or drivers.

Tried the MST - no change Sad

pBS - I'm not familiar with this devcon - is there an example I can use ?

Hauppauge support have asked me to try with their WinTV software, so I will give that a go tonight.

So tried with Hauppauge's own WinTV software and latest driver and .... same result - card won't respond after S3 standby !

emailed back to Hauppauge support - I will post what they say.

I finally got a response from Hauppauge Tech support that said

"If you have the option to return the card then please do so for a new one ."

Pretty disappointing , considering this took the best part of 2 weeks to come to this conclusion.

I running with the Twinhan for now, and will try and get a refund on this "faulty" card.
