I´m looking for a commandline application that can accept a string as input and the overlay it over video being sent to an X-card.

I´m using zoomplayer as my mediaplayer and would like to display messages on my TV over the video from the X-card using a commandline like this:

application_name.exe -mess: Hello World

Is this even possible? Perhaps some of the programmers on this board an help?

regards,

I could do it in GB-PVR when its playing video via the XCard, but sorry I can help with zoomplayer. Their developers would need to implement this functionality.

Ok, I think it would be a nice feature. You could have lots of uses for a commandline option that can write over the video. Is it possible to make it write while the video is running or would it have to stop?

Nice.
A bit off topic but can I start playing a file in GB-PVR using the commandline? I can´t seem to find any info on commandline options in the documentation.

It used to be able to, but I havn't tried in a long time. Just try running it with a filename and see what happens.

Thanks, mamema

That´s a cool app but it´s not really what I´m lookin for. I want the message to appear on top of the videostream that xcard sends to my tv.
