I was thinking about rewriting the address book.

I was thinking about connecting to outlook.

Thinking about the recording screen instead of the buttons on the left you would have

contacts, tasks, calendar, notes, inbox, main

You can pull up the information you want. Inbox would show you the message but not let you edit it yet.

Any thoughts, would their be an interest?

I think there is definitely interest in being able to check email and calendaring via GBPVR in addition to just contacts. Might not be practical to create new email using a remote control, but at least having a view into your PIM system would be great (lets you know if there's something important that you need to respond to without leaving the comfort of your la-z-boy)

But rather than making an Outlook-specific plugin, create interfaces, then code it to those interfaces (and provide Outlook-specific implementations). That way, someone can make a Gmail, Hotmail, Lotus Notes, etc, implementation as well that can be plugged into the plugin (plugins for a plugin?!Wink

That sounds good.

Definitly useful for the email side, probably will do the same for contacts, tasks and notes.

I know somebody was working on an email client, I am not that ambitions at this time.

The outlook thing I have gives me the email so I figured I will show it.
