I've upload the v0.0.4 beta to the web site. It contains quite a few PVR350 related changes, as well as changes in other areas. It can be downloaded from http://www.gbpvr.com/Setup004.exe

2003-11-25 v0.0.4
- Added ability to launch external program from TV Guide. Can also pass channel number as argument.
- Hide mouse when playing movie
- Fixed problem with PVR350 TV out playback. Replaced dependence on pvr350.grf with a manually constructed graph
- Better (but unfortunately slightly slower) quantitization of colors in PVR350 fast mode
- Added manual recordings. Allows you specify chanel and start/end time aswell as a recurrence pattern. This is not functional yet. (needed early release to correct a PVR350 problem)
- Some stability fixes for the recording service
- Attempted to handle TV overscan on PVR350 OSD. Dont know if it was successful yet - looks alright on my tv. I may need more work in this area.

Unfortunately still no upgrade procedure yet, so you'll need to uninstall the previous release to install the new version, and in turn you'll need to add you capture sources and channel numbers again.

Think this is a bug:  schedule a recording, then click on manual record, click on cancel - the scheduled recording disappears.

By the way, like the manual recording GUI - looks really good.

Cheers,
Andy

Andy, does the gui seem to fit your tv better?

It's a lot better, but still slightly cropped. I'm sending a couple of screenshots by email.

Cheers,
Andy

I suspect it will always be slightly cropped. For the next release, I'll add a few settings to hopefully allow you to shrink the picture slightly and add an X and Y offset. Hopefully this will compensate for some of the of the overscan.

I should really have moved the main elements of the Skin a little further away form the edges so that you dont notice.

Cool... I use Sonic MyDVD and they have a concept for DVD menu creation of a "TV Safe Zone" which is the area that should almost definitely ;-) be displayed on a TV.

It would be good for the program to have an understanding of (and config for) the aspect ratio being used on the TV - for example, I normally leave my TV in 14:9 ratio as this gives me a bigger image on my 16:9 widescreen TV without cropping too much from 4:3 broadcasts - for GBPVR to allow config for 14:9 or 16:9 displays (i.e. don't put too much top and bottom) - or even proper widescreen, would be great (probably a feature for a very much future release though!Wink
