At my work place we have an internal network behind the company firewall and a network with no firewall.
On the network with no firewall I can login to GBPVR with no problems.
On the network with the firewall I can get no further than the GBPVR login screen.
If I set GBPVR for auto-login they both work fine.
Therefore the login has problems with the company firewall.
I have several other programs that require a login (such as a server a wireless router a router and my web page) and they all work fine with our firewall.
Why does GBPVR not work in this respect?
I have noticed several other threads mentioning the same problem but with no resolution.
I think it would be useful to many to solve this one.

I'll look into adding detailed logging into the login screen so that when you enter your id/passsword perhaps we can see what is going on. I'll post a debug version of the login this evening.....which will be US EDT.

Ok....stop the gbpvr recording service....extract this into you gbpvr\ directory and then restart the recoding service.

There will be a bunch of new log entries when you log in that should help us figure out what is going on where......

You can view the log output from the log link on the statistics tab....or by drilling down through your C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\gbpvr sub directories until you find the one that contains the gbpvrpublic.dll and the logs subdirectory......

I have today (Friday) off work, so I will set it up at home and test it on Monday.
I will get back to you on Monday.
Something I have also noted that may be related is that when I am auto-loged in to the GBPVR webpage (through our Firewall at work) the links do not always respond correctly. For instance when I set a program to record I get no response although it does get set to record. And when I try to change the program guide page forward or backwards or to any other time or date it just updates to the original page again after a timeout.
It seems like the response is being blocked.
Thanks for the help

Thanks....that is a help....that points this towards a javascript blocker running on your pc's browser at work (i.e. spysweeper).....we'll see but I think that may be the issue.

Did you try both IE and firefox?

I only tried IE.
But I do know that VNC will not work through our firewall which I suspect as you say is because javascript is blocked.
I think this is common in the workplace as many games are based on javascript, and they like to block the games at work.
I have used PHP for similar applications which work ok through our firewall.

The log file simply says that I have logged in OK.
However I have consulted the person that controls the firewall in our company and he say that JavaScript is not disabled and should work OK.
But streaming data is not allowed, could this be the problem?

PM me your log file so I can see what steps are executing.......per your first post you indicated you were not able to log in unless it was set to autologin enabled. If you are trying to stream that tells me you got past the login....
