help with HVR1600

I tried to install it, and I get the error "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
I tried different drivers and a different PCI slot.

any ideas??

PS- it is in the Athlon64 3200+
Nvidia motherboard (Nforce 3 I think)

This is usually a resource conflict, generally memory addresses and not IRQs.
If it is an AGP motherboard, you can set AGP Aperture to match the actual memory on the video card and reset ESCD (reset configuration data) in the BIOS. This should reallocate all resources correctly on the next bootup.

If it is a PCI-e then you can only perform the ESCD reset. If that doesn't do it then more slot swapping or a complete OS reinstall might be needed. A BIOS update can also solve the problem.

There are no absolute solutions since every setup is slightly different.

I did everything suggested above (except reload OS) and it still said "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

I put it in "client 1" in the sig, and it worked just fine.
it looks like I may be trading hardware around and having those systems trade places.

you think that system is up to the task of running all those capture cards (including HD) and apache webserver and transcoding when required?? (it has 1.5gig of RAM)
I have been wanting a stronger system as the client anyway.
