I'v been looking at the guide to define a new capture card in "direct.ini", I can fully understand the part about finding the filter-names using GraphEdit, but the pin names seems to pop out of thin air to me. How and where are the pin names defined, and how does one tell GBPVR which output pin form which filter that connect to which input pin in the next filter?

Very good question, its an OEM-card so it has no manufacturer name og number, but it has HW-encoding. What about the pin-names?

Can you run FilterCheck then attach the resulting FilterCheck.log: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

The Name of the card appears to be "QS-401", the tuner chip is a Philips and the crossbar(I think) name is Proteus.

Can you please explain about the pin names?

Sorry, this device lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder.

The pin names are shown in the output of filtercheck that you attached above. Which ones connect to which? I dont know, this is the guess work part of the process. Most cards that use the same filter/pin layout as the PVR150, so these hive a good indication of the likely names. (yours is not layed out this way though, since it has no encoder filter)
