option to sort shows in a group?

Is there an option to sort shows in a group by ascending or descending date/time? I have multiple recordings for a show in a group, and I like having the newest one at the top. Sometimes I don't watch the older ones, and want to be lazy and not cursor down a few times to get to the newest one.

The red button on the remote does this (ctrl+r)

I don't want to have to hit a button every time, but would like it to default to a setting.
