I have a couple of questions on the X-Card...

I currently have the X-Card and a PVR-350. If I use the X-Card to output to tele on all occasions, do I need the PVR-350 or would I be just as well off with a Compro VideoMate (simply for video+sound in)?! £100 versus £17... tempting!!

Also, when looking at the TV guide using the X-Card, the txt jitters almost unreadably, and no amount of fiddling with anything seems to remedy this. Does anyone else get this? The info box is only half there aswell, although that might require fiddling on the settings for X-Card, but it's far too late and far too far away for me to go all the way downstairs to try that now... GB-PVR will only record from smallish list of capture devices - Compro VideoMate isnt one of them. Most on the list are Hauppauge PVR250 clones, so a good option would be an actual Hauppauge PVR250. If you're using the XCard for connecting to the TV, then you wont need the decoder of the PVR350.

I havn't seen the txt jitters you describe.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'the info box', you can adjust the margins for the XCard OSD which should enable you to line it up correctly for your TV.

Thanks Sub!

Bloody #### that one was a quick reply!

The text seems to flicker on the screen, kind of vibrating very fast! The info box being the box that shows program information when you're in live TV mode; I can see all the TV image, but the box cuts off half way down (with a few inches more of tele being displayed underneath).

I don't really know what could be causing either of these phenomenon, maybe I'll have a look at my X-Card settings and drivers a little more, make sure everything is up to date. Worth mentioning I don't see anything like this when watching DVDs using the X-Card software.

Thanks again!
