ATI Saphire Theatrix 550 PRO Problem

Hello, i have tried to install the GB-PVR software to use with mu tv tuner card, but i cannot watch anything, because i don't know how to set up the configuration, i believe.

I have been using Power Cinema, but the cyberlink software is way too heavy, and now i tried this, but i does not work at all.

Does someone here has the same card and could help me setting this up?

Basically, you need to go into the config app and create a capture source. Select the ATI 550 Pro card type, set the EPG to something appropriate, hit Update EPG and you should be good to go.

Most people in the UK use the utility from http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/ to download xmltv listings, then configure their capture souce to use the xmltv plugin, and point it at the file this utility generates.

I am not shure if mine is the PRO version. Mine works to some extent with GB-PVR standard drivers. However, I noticed a few problems:

• When teletext is enabled video compression bitrate is not set properly resulting in huge mpeg files.
  
  
• In addition audio bitrate is not set according to the selected profile with and without teletext.
  
  

If you give up teletext you can still use it only that audio takes a bit more disk space.

Currently I am using my own recorder plugin which partially solved theese problems. If anyone would like to give it a try I can post it.
