I've just acquired a Pinnacle 7010ix from eBay, which I bought because it has two DVB-S tuners - but GBPVR thinks there's only one DVB-S tuner.

I've installed the latest BlackGold 3450 drivers, which seem to work fine. In the absence of two detected DVB-S tuners, I created a second tuner entry in Config and used the same device name/entry as the first one but called it device 2. On scanning channels using the digital mapping dialog box however, no video appears for that 'second' tuner.

What am I missing, or is the card faulty?

I can't remember if there were two device names or a single one where you have to use different logical channels. If you really want, I maybe able to go back through some of my backups to see how I had it setup. Just had a look at bda.ini and now I'm sure you use the same device name but device number 1 and 2

Sorry, daft question but - You do have a second LNB cable for the second dvb-s tuner. The dvb-t side can share a single input, but not satellite.

Mine was great for a month, then the dvb-s side went dead, followed shortly by the dvb-t side going deaf ;(

Also from ebay (seller had dozens of them some months ago).

Yes, I've set up the same device from the drop down list as devices 1 and 2, and yes, they have separate cables from the LNB. That's what's confusing me: it all ought to work - unless the card is faulty - in which case it's going back...

Can you run filtercheck.exe, and post the filtercheck.log?

Thanks for looking at this, sub. I was about to post a peeved note to the eBay seller...

I would say though that same cable(s) plugged into my existing two DVB-S tuners work fine so it is looking like a hardware fault from where I sit.

I just wanted to check the device numbers with that file. It sounds like you've already got it correct, ie setup two capture sources for the "BlackGold BGT3540 DVB-S", one as deivce number 1, the other as device number 2.

So your diagnosis (from 12k miles away!) is a faulty card?

I have no idea really. I initially thought you might have the device numbers wrong, but thats not the case.

If you post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log after a scan, I'll see if anything stands out.

Thanks again sub. Here are the logs - this tuner can't find any channels and won't tune into them even if I copy across a scan cache file from the other tuner...

Unfortunately that log had the logging level set to 'error'. You'd need to set it back to 'debug'.
