Please bring back the channel number

Ok, this is hard to explain, so pictures tell a 1000 words.

Basically when I do a search and bring up a possible program I would like to record, gbpvr.exe has channel number call sign (84 WXYZ) where PVRX2.exe only has call sign (WXYZ)

Normally this is not an issue with most people, but I have dual PVR150's and one is set up to record through a digital box (Motorola 2524), and the other one is simply analog cable. I prefer ther digital when I can, but since it shows both at the same time, I get confused with just the call letters. Which cannel numbers I know that 05 is analog, and 84 is digital even though they have the same program on at the same time.

I tried the edit somewhere I saw for the channel number to be listed, but no luck as it only showed up on the main page.

Hi, I've been working on a newer version of CLT, which includes channel number stamping on the Logo so resolve this issue. It's a beta release at the moment, but if you want to try, I'll post it...

Actually I was wondering if this change was something I had done wrong when setting up my channel lineup or EPG or something.

I only have a minimal cable package, but I've had more than a few occasions when it would have been very helpful to have the channel # not just the call sign show up in the various recording setup or other program menus. (USA, SchedulesDirect).

Was it a change in the PVRX2 after all?

I really don't run many (any) interface enhancement plugins, trying to keep things simple and reliable. Although the new search plugin is going to have to get tried out.

Schedules direct doesn't have the channel number, zap2it did. Thats why. There is a setting in config.xml that will show channel numbers though but I can't remember it.

Please explain why it shows on one and not the other.

Also I e-mailed SD, and they said the output was the same, since it still comes from zap2it.

As I mentioned, I tried the config change, and it does not work.

I've been trying to standardize the way the channel name is stored. Up until recently, the US and Canada always had the channel number as part of the name, while the rest of the world did not. This caused lots of headaches - there are many places I would like to have shown the channel number and the channel name next to each other but I couldnt because in the US and Canada you'd have seen the channel number next to the channel number next to the channel name. Argh!

Now that most people have a channel number without the channel number embbeded I'll soon start showing the channel number next to the channel name in lots of places in the app (like in the search screen shown above). This will of course be a matter of great annoyance to those that still have the old style of names US/Canada channel names, but you cant please everybody...
