no tv channels

I've just downloaded the latest version of GBPVR and am having trouble getting any picture. I have configured it run the programe scanner an all the channels appear ok. updated the EPG, but when I click to view life tv I am getting a message saying run Config to scan for channels and update EPG. has anyone any idea what I am missing?

have you added those channels in config after selecting what your tuner card is
by the way it makes it easier if you tell use what hardware you have
im guessinmg by your last post you hav some sort of dvb-t card
after your scan you map rthe frequencies found to the epg channel numbers did you do that ?

I'm having trouble finding my card on the drop down menu within config. My tv card is a dual Hauppauge DVB-T-1(NOVA-DT) DVB-T(NOVA-DT). I can't seem to get any further, do you know if any of the cards listed is similar. the card works with wintv software and windows media center, but I'm having trouble with the media center EPG and the Hauppauge dosn't save in dvr-ms format

If you tick the 'only show devices detcted in this machine' check box, then it should only show your device.

Its not clear from your posts what your problem is. Did you manage to scan for and map channels using the 'map digital channels to epg channels'?

I have configured theDVB device and all the channels appear on the screen in the little box when I carry out the channel mapping and I have ticked the boxes as required. When I get the EPG on screen and click on watch live tv the screen appears describing the progam at the bottom with a program progress bar chart at the top of the screen but no picture or sound.
I an using Vista Home Premium and a Hauppauge DVB-t(NOVA-DT) dual tuner card which when used with Hauppauge software works ok as it does using Media Center..
The main reason I wish to use GB-PVR is because it records in dvr-ms format the same as Windows media center which I can't record from as I'm getting an error message when I try to load their EPG and Microsoft don't appear being able to sort out.

What audio and video decoders do you have selected on the playback tab of the config app? Dont leave them set to 'system default'. If you dont have any options other than system default then you most likely dont have any decoders installed.

It'll only record .dvr-ms files if you're using the Microsoft DVR-MS mux. If you download and install the Ati or Cyberlink mux then it can also record .mpg files.
