DVR-MS and Buffer Overun

Hi

I have configured v1.0.16 to save DVB-S output as DVR-MS. Tonight I set up a bunch of recordings - all of which recorded just fine. But, when I try to watch from a client mode PC using PVRX2 or GBPVR and the client running Vista 32bit, I get a buffer overrun error as soon as I start to watch the recordings.

Playback on Windows Media Player is just fine as is playback on Nero. Its just in a client mode PVRX2/GBPVR that I get this error.

Has anyone experienced this?

OK, I changed to file sharing rather than streaming and the recordings now play just fine.

As you've found, you need to be using file sharing mode if you want to be able to play DVR-MS files. These are incompatible with file streaming (since the DVR-MS source filter has two output pins).

Thanks Sub, works just fine now that I changed to file sharing - interesting now knowing the reason why.
