Using 1.3.7 I am trying to configure a client. On the Capture Sources tab I have "Configure this machine to act as a client" checked but the Recordings Share and TV Buffer Share are grayed out and disabled. I am able to set the Server and Database Share.

How can I set the Recordings Share and TV Buffer Share? Thanks.

If you're using the 'streaming mode' then it doesnt need to know this information - its all taken care of on the server side.

These settings are only required with 'file sharing mode'.

Then I am having some other problem. I can view the TV Guide on the client but when I double click an entry then click Watch the window goes black for about 30 seconds then the TV Guide is redisplayed. I never see the show.

Any idea what might cause this? I configured the server as described in the Network topic on the wiki.

Here are the logs. I closed pvxr2.exe, deleted the logs, restarted pvxr2.exe, opened the TV Guide, doubled clicked an entry and clicked watch.

Thanks for your help.

It looks like you have some firewall getting in the way, or the recording server isnt running on that server machine.

I opened TCP port 7968 in Windows Firewall on both the client and server and now I get the pop-up controls but there is no video. Any other ideas?

I cant see any reason in those logs.

Post a matching set of client and server logs and I'll take another look.
