I see the new Sky digi box can be programmed to record from a mobile phone.
As WAP pages are just specially formatted HTML could the current EWA Web interface be modified to allow access from WAP phones ? I was thinking about a special page with a cut down EPG as an addition to the current pages.

Would anybody else think this a Cool new feature ?

That's not a bad idea actually, apart from my PC always goes to sleep when not recordingSad I had a thought about something my friends TIVO does. He gets emailed a list of programs and replies back with what programs he wants to record. If GBPVR could schedule or list programs from the commandline it would work.

You could install the excellent free Opera Mini browser for your phone (it's a Java app) and then browse to any site you want! (including the EWA, I have done it before and it worked just fine).

Yeah, i use the Opera Mini browser, its excellent.

Also if you set the profile to 'mobile' in EWA from your phone it makes it much easier to read on the phone.

Yeah, Opera Mini is the way to go, and with the new verison which has just come out (just upgraded from the beta2) you can use the browser in landscape mode which makes the experience even better.

If only I had a static IP from my phone, then I could set it to auto login.

But maybe a mobile version of the EWA could be good - as I find that anything which uses javascript to open a new page (such as searching for programs in ewa) is a bit hit or miss as to which page it returns (especially in the tvguide)

I guess I'll move my discussion to the EWA thread. EDIT: Forget it - the new version seems to have fixed my issues.
