HIP MCE trouble with SKIP and REWIND

I am using HIP with a MCERemote, and I think I have everything working now except when I am viewung TV Listings, and using the remote. Skip does nothing for me. On keybord Ctrl-> works.
In my HIP profile I have:
Skip >| TRACK+
Rewind |< TRACK-
but those don't work. Do I need some sort of POST value instead of >| ??
If so how do I figure out what the POST value is?
Any ideas, anyone?

you shouldnt need anything in hip at all (apart from the start button)also make sure you add the start button under alternate input otherwise it wont always start

but in gbpvr config make sure you have the mce remote selected as your remote

if you do have things selected in hip aswell as mce remote selected you will get double hits on the keys so use one or the other not both

if you do decide to use hip for this funtion relearn the key then enter the keyboard button mapping to do what you want it to do (ie fast forward=Ctrl-f)

(looking at what you have put you are trying to use the symbols to get it to work its easier to map the keyboard buttons to your remote buttons than try and work that out)

I have a IR Blaster controling a Cable Control Box.
This is a MediaPC, and the IR Blaster isn't enabled unless MediaPC is running. To overcome this I had to use HIP and it's MECIR.SYS replacement driver for the IR Blaster. I suspect the problem is I map the SKIP and REWND buttons to control those functions on the control box (with cable and a control box, you can PAUSE a LiveTV program, and REWIND it). So I suspect that HIP doesn't know whether GBPVR is displaying a TV program or displaying GUIDE.
Oh well, I will just have to put down the remote, and use the PC keyboard to move through the GUIDE a day at a time.

you have miss understood me

map the keys using the keyboard shortcuts
also make sure in hip you have it set so it knows to use the settings

send your config file from hip to me so i can see what you have
im not the best at explaining things ill see if i can modify it for you so it will work or at least tell you what you need to change
