I glad you didn't have any problems, it's always possible I used a wrong setting or whatever. I am not going to retry to see if I was right or not.

Afaik when you cut something out of an mpeg, the "timeline" has to be rewritten. I think this is less of a problem when it cuts only on A-frames (clean cuts). When you make a cut in a b-frame (inside a GOP) the frame has to be re-encoded to become a complete GOP again.
