I have been having some success with HD TV using PVRX2. I get perfect HD recordings. I am using the ATI MPEG Mux. Installing that made all the difference.
Just one outstanding item.
When watching live TV I will get the occasional stutter. If I run in time shift mode I don't have any problems at all. I was wondering what may cause that ?

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. I tried different MPEG decoders and had the most success with ATI MPEG Video Decoder.

Thanks in advance and as a side note I have tried the commercial products and found this to be the best.

I found the ATI Mux and Decoder here for anyone else interested http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_cataly...50-vista32. To get the Mux and decoder install the AVIVO component.

what capture card are you using? i find the cheaper ones have dropouts just like that only on live tv..like low signal...but when timeshifting or recording, they come out perfect..not sure the cause of it tho...
[i have a 1600 and a kworld pci120 and they act differently..one does this,one doesn't..guess which one doesn't..lol] [1600]

I have an ATI Theater 650 Pro. Not sure where it is as far as cheaper or better is though.
