To be honest, I've never found myself using the picture in picture features of my previous TVs, so its probably not something I'll commit any time to implementing.

It has been a very long time since i've watch live tv, I tried it the other day and couldn't do it due to the commercial. but i installed power cinema and they have pip, i found it better to switch to the pip and watch or surf other channels until the show i was watching comes back, I then switch back.

Also is there a linux version?

Hello,

Thank you for a Great Product and for all the help i got in the forums(other users threads).

Picture in Picture is on my wish-list. I´ve used it on a old TV and it is wonderful. Once it is comercials on, you can just flip through the other channels and still keep an eye on the channel you watched. When the comercials are over you know it and maximize that window again. Please reconsider implementing it. :-)

Best regards

dude, you gotta change your viewing style Big Grin
the majority here will be in the watch&delete fraction... i can count on my fingers how often i've watched live tv this year. recommended viewing styles:
- record whatever you want to see, watch it whenever you like & skip the ads
- start live tv & hit pause. get whatever chores you have done & hit play half an hour latter. when you encounter ads, just skip them.
advanced version (i just cant await the next episode of CSI 'cause of that cliffhanger from the last one & dont like to miss it either Big Grin):
- shedule your recording as usual, some 22 minutes after the show started go into the guide & that show & select play. watch your show & skip the ads, you'll watch the end of the show aproximately the same time as everybody else watching it live (i'd like to call that "catch up"-style Wink)

@sub: still the same, i'd like to see PIP for another reason: simultaneous sport broadcasts

When I was shopping for a new wide screen a while back, I was surprised that all of the models that I saw didn't have PIP. It's probably that's because more people have to move to STB (away from analog cable) and that means two STBs connected just for liveTV PIP, and that is a nightmare for IR remotes...

My ex uses it to pull up the GB-PVR guide and check what's on, while watching Live TV... It's a cool idea I suppose. Many Digital Cable Boxes have a PIP for their guides in the least. I know that that is something we were moving toward before the switch to 1.x
