So there I was happily watching a show on History channel when suddenly I'm bounced back to the main menu. "That's odd" methinks.

I select the Live TV option again only to be told that my tuner is in use recording a show and that I can either not watch TV or watch the recording.

At the risk of yet another "my TiVo does ..." complaint, why can't I be told via a screen overlay that my Live TV session is about to be stopped because GBPVR wants to record something say, 2 minutes before the recording would start?

Better yet why can't I be offered the option of canceling the upcoming recording in favour of the Live TV session?

Sub: I still have a live TiVo of you'd like to mess with it for some ideas/comparison. It's connected to my Slingbox so you can play over the web.

This type of behaviour is on my todo list. I wanted to show a popup that gives the user the option of "watching the recording", "cancel the recording" or "stop watching tv". Unfortunately its been sitting there for quite a while though, since there always seems to be more important stuff needing to be done.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not really that interested in being like Tivo.
