I have reviewed several of the posts about problems with the hibernation/standby feature, and I thought I would add another investigation, to see if it has to do with what I am suspecting. Also I have read sub's caveat that he hasn't seen a reason to prevent going into those modes.
OK, my experience: I have set up the Hibernator program and reviewed my settings, so that the computer should go to Hibernate after 30 seconds of time under the thresholds set by the Hibernator program (ie. so little cpu+8%, so little hd access +50 kbps, and so little network access+5%), and the system will go into hibernation for the following conditions.
1) PVRX2 not open, Recording service off
2) PVRX2 open but minimized (not in full screen mode-VMR9 Exclusive), Recording service on, System monitor up to watch the activity
3) Selecting hibernate from the PVRX2 menu
4) Selecting preview from the Screensaver page (where Hibernator parameters can be adjusted).
Will not hibernate when PVRX2 is up in full screen or windowed mode and the focus of the system.
So my question is could PVRX2 be keeping the focus and not allowing the computer to run the hibernation/screen saver (this is where Hibernator resides) by allowing focus to it?
