I am experiencing problems with recording (or LiveTV) on my GBPVR installation in combination with an Hauppauge PVR-500 MCE card.

I have posted the problem in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post255903

The problem is GBPVR related, and not hardware or driver related (as far as I can see), as I get sound when using Hauppauge's own WinTV application.

By posting in this forum I hope someone can help me.

With regards,

Taco

Which audio decoder are you using? It might be related to that. Try another and see if the problem still persists.

Do a recording and zip and attach your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log files (from the logs folder).

Cheers,

Here are the logfiles
As you will see not much information in it. Should I change the logging level ? Or were you just interested to see if any error occurred ?

AFAIK the audio decoder setting is just for playback. I am not playing back the files on the GBPVR machine, so this is irrelevant. The recorded files don't contain sound (or contain just silence). I am playing them back on a different PC.

Like indicated before, recordings from tuner 1 have no sound, recordings from tuner 2 do have sound.

The level would need to be Debug and the setting to automatically flush the logs needs to be enabled.

Hi Brian,

Here are the new logs.

I first started a recording on tuner 1, then a recording on tuner 2.
First recording did not have sound, second one did.

Then I stopped the recording on tuner 1 and tuner 2.

Hope you can find something.

Thanks,

Taco

I cant see anything obvious in there. The logs look fine.

Maybe try a different version of the PVR500 drivers.
