In trying to find out why the TV Guide search yielded no results I learned the reason was that I am still using the Access database (gbpvr.mdb). I'm now on ver. 1.1.5 (think i upgraded in Nov). I've exported my recordings, backed up recordings-dump.xml, config.xml, and the database (.mdb). I found changedatabase.exe in the gbpvr directory.

My question is: do I just run changedatabase.exe to switch over or is there more to it? (I found this post http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ght=sticky)

I then import recordings, right?

If that doesn't work (some posts indicated it might not, or might not smoothly since I'm on the latest version), I guess I should do a complete uninstall/reinstall, right???

BTW, I have net 2.0 installed.

thanks,

Yes, just run ChangeDatabase. Make sure you tick the 'copy GB-PVR data from the source database' checkbox.

The conversion should work fine, but if for any reason it doesnt succeed it wont have damaged anything. It doesnt update your old database in any way.

You dont need to import your recordings after - they should be automatically copied across.
