24 days to go to the start of DSO here in the West of England - and I have just found that we will be now doing it in 3 stages.
This means that the ini spreadsheet made by Graham has channel info that will only be used after Autumn 2011 (not his fault - only published by ofcom on Feb 9th 2010 & not yet updated on http://www.ukfree.tv)

The dates are as follows:-
Stage 1: 24th March 2010 - Channels 55,56,61,62,65,67
Stage 2: 7th April 2010 - Channels 54,56,58(HD),59,61,62
Stage 3: Autumn 2011 - Channels 48,52,54,56,58(HD),61

You will have to use 'explicitly scan DVB-T Offset frequencies' setting on the Misc tab for Stage 2

I have made an ini file for each stage put them in BDA/DVB-T folder.
In Config under capture sources edit they will be listed as "Southern England after DSO"
"Mendip Stage 1" etc.

Hope they are of help to somebody

A good job done well.

The Ofcom doc is ...

http://www.ofcom.org.uk/tv/ifi/tech/dsod...stv3.0.pdf

The tables in the doc show the channels (i.e frequencies) after DSO and add in a footnote in tiny print that half the values in the table for Mendip are wrong for the first year after DSO.

It's a damn good job that Lao Pan read the small print.

I'm beginning to think I'm lucky, living out in the middle of nowhere, where switchover is still a long way off. Hopefully sub will have the scanning function fully sorted and automagic by then Big Grin

Thanks LP.

Hopefully they'll also boost the power when the switch over is complete (Bath)

The Public Service Channels (61,54,58) go from 10kw to 100kw on the 7th April. The others stay on 10kw until the Autumn 2011 switch when they go up to 12.5kw - finally going to 100kw in 2012 - still quite a long time to wait for perfect reception.

Lao Pan,

Thanks for the ini files... I found them when searching for the old & new channel numbers in Google Big Grin. FYI I needed to enable explicitly scan offset freq's to get S1 to work. Many thanks, saves me 20 mins finding out channel numbers etc.

Now if only I could get the channel scanner to work and not crash as soon as I assign a scanned channel to an EPG channel! (any ideas anyone?)

Thanks LP,

Aidan

Hi,

can someone be very kind and upload a copy of their Scan.cache file for the Mendip transmitter (Freeview UK). I did a rescan yesterday, after stage 2 of the digital switch over, and have lost half the channels I used to receive.

Thanks

Martin

Yesterday was stage 1 for me ... and I would also be grateful for a scan cache file.
