Transcoding for a n00b

all i want to do is automatically transcode everything i record into xvid or whatever from the dvr-ms files it records as.

what exactly do i need to add to my my gbpvr folder to make this work? i've tried reading but it seems like everything i find on the wiki starts me out at a step that is beyond where i am.

Have you already tried to set it up in gbpvr-config-processing. It might just work.

I would check Z-Process. I think this helps with Transcoding, though I haven't had time to dig into it.
