I am pretty new to PVR apps in general. GBPVR is the first one I stumbled upon a few weeks ago after buying a nova-t500 for my XP desktop.
The functionality is brilliant, and Iâm sure Iâm only just getting started, but the picture quality is rubbish on everything. (I.e. recordings, media files, DVDâs). Sound is fine however. By rubbish quality I mean: Weak colour, obvious compression graininess (anything without much light looks hideous).
Everything I normally watch (i.e. media files, DVDâs, HD stuff) is run in overlay mode to my HDTV through digital component video and looks great. (I think the overlay mode is being handled by ATI control centre). I recently noticed that if I run the recorded files in Media player classic on overlay mode (my usual) the picture is perfect.
Well having read up about poor quality I know I have to set GBPVR to the same video renderer as the stuff that works. Problem is thereâs no overlay option for PVRX2.exe and GBPVR.exe doesnât seem to respond to the config app.
What can I do??
Thanks a lot
