Got a problem installing ONLY 2 pieces of software in Vista that I know are Vista compatible and HAVE worked before. I reimaged my drive and then added CorelDraw X4 and part of the way thru the install, I get the "error 1406.Could not write value to key". Of course I google it and everything suggested was tried or already correct. So I tried to install X3....same error.
No other program is giving me this error and of course, Corel has been no help. To get help, they want $$$$. They tell me it's my system but why don't any other programs give me this error?
I only post here as I know there are some very knowledgeable folks and I'm hopeful that someone else 'thinks outside the box' and has a suggestion.
