PCI-express tuner cards

I have just brought a Pinnicle 3010ix dual DVB tuner which is PCI express and it works just as well as my Nova-t does.

If you live in the UK you gen get them for under 20.00 quid form aria. They are also available on ebay for under 30 quid. Apparently they use the same chipset (and drivers) as the blackgold dual tuners and I have always thought blackgood tuners have been pretty good.

The KWorld PE310 is in the GBPVR BDA.INI which suggests that GBPVR supports it.

I can't say wheher the device is any good.

I took a look at some reviews, they did not impress me, so grabbed a cheap 3010iX as per Bathman (at that price it can be thrown) and a PVR150 for sat as per Martint123

Machine is setup and ready, with the cards in and GBPVR finally installed, it is at work so trying to find an ariel presently to do some testing.

I must admit I have been very impressed with my 3010iX (using the balckgold drivers). I got it after reading a reccomedation by Chris Day. I find the picture quality is just a shade not quite as good as a Nova-t 500. But the channel change is slightly quicker. It also runs cooler which I am always a big fan off. Many people rate the terratec 2400 highly but I could only ever get in working in a pciex16 slot. So I got rid of it. I certainly feel the 3010ix has been as good as anything else I have used and by far the best value.

I got my new HVR2200 today and have it working (DVB-T at least). Had to add the following to the bda.ini following the wiki page and it just worked.

Hey thanks dgrind I installed one just now, was easy install & setup with this bit of info, works well compared to the HVR1100 I replaced, slightly quicker channel switching and the benefit of dual tuners. The power of the net is a very cool thing. I'm using this setup on Vista to view & capture h.264/aac DVB-T in Auckland. I thought the price on the 2200 here was pretty special compared to where I've seen them go in Aussie, it was only 140 clams, cheaper than both PVR150 and HVR1100.
