Ok... Swedish DVB-T has decided to switch to MPEG4. All new channels in the fall, and a few of the old channels, will start sending in MPEG4. People will have to get new STB's in order to receive the new channels.

My question is, do the Hauppauge cards do MPEG4? I'm in particular thinking about the cards I have, the nova-t-usb2 and the nova-t-500.

We're using MPEG4 video on our DVB-T channels. There is still a few minor teething problems, but it kind of works works. There is an outstanding problem with audio/video sync.

Have a look at the following thread. Your system may not have enough grunt to decode MPEG4.
