I am living in Europe and was curious if there is any PC satellite card with DVB-S2 and MPEG4 out? If not when will we start to see such cards?

Found the following link today (sorry only in German)

http://www.knc1.com/d/produkte/digital_dvb_s2_plus.htm

Sub, do you think we will have support for this card in future GBPVR releases? I would considering buying one.

Have a look at this card
http://www.micronas.com/products/application/147296/

they have a document download there
that describes the reference design of the card

What do you think Sub can it be a future card for GBpvr
what can we do to help you make the new generation of
dvb-s2 cards and hopefully cam to work?

To be honest, unless they send me a freebie, then probably not.

I've not been able to test the DVB-S2 support myself (no visible DVB-S2 satellites here yet), but in theory GB-PVR works with the Hauppauge HVR-4000 for DVB-S2. (MPEG4 is a different issue though)

I got a HVR-4000 card from Hauppauge last week and it works fine with the latest GBPVR release. However, I did not managed to watch HD programs broadcasting over DVB-S2 with MPEG4. Any idea what I need to configure differently?

@ Swissueli

Does your HVR-4000 work now with DVB-S2 broadcasts?
Did you have to do anything special to get it work?
